About Us

Wake up Ugandan Children's Foundation (WUCF)

Wake up Ugandan Children’s Foundation is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established by Ayazika Moses called Mozzy in Kigungu in 2012.

Kigungu is a fishing village, that is characterized by a high level of illiteracy, a high spread of HIV/AIDS and in general high share of troubled circumstances for families and young children.

After realizing, that many children living in Kigungu, especially the ones who lost there parents, were not attending school, becoming victims of domestic violence or forced child labor, Mozzy wanted to create a community to support his village.

Wake up Ugandan Children’s Foundation (WUCF) engages in various activities to achieve our vision:
A world in which every child attains the right to education, development and protection.

WUCF aims to help children in need who either lost their parents or live under extremely poor conditions, by sending them to school and giving them life support.
Furthermore, WUCF seeks to educate the community at large of the importance of education, condemning child abuse and domestic violence and offers life skills in areas where our children face challenges.

Our Mission

To support vulnerable children to attain education, stand against child abuse, fight domestic violence, providing them with better living conditions and combat the spread of HIV/AIDS through supporting them in their daily lives.

Our Vision

A world in which every child attains the right to education, development and protection.
